Brian Stucki, a native of the Seattle area, is currently principal cellist with the Chicago Civic Orchestra. He received his advanced cello training from Hans Jørgen Jensen, Gayle Smith, and the late Roger Drinkall, graduating from Brigham Young University in both cello and vocal performance. Mr. Stucki is the recipient of many scholarships and prizes, including the Florence Allen Award at the Carmel National Chamber Music Competition. He was also named Governor’s scholar at the Interlochen Arts Camp. Though he has performed as soloist on several occasions with orchestras, chamber music remains his first love.
